Dear Storytelling fan,

The Desert Sun Storytellers Project event "Live and Death" scheduled for May 13 at the UC-Riverside, Palm Valley has been postponed.

As a precaution, the Desert Sun has made this decision to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in our community. We are taking these steps out of an abundance of caution.

Our newsroom is thankful so many people have chosen to share their evenings with us. Based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we think this is right for you, and for the journalists and community members who bring you these stories.

We are working rapidly to reschedule the event for a later date, and will honor original tickets. But, we are happy to offer you a full refund, if you cannot attend the rescheduled show for any reason.

If you would like to request a refund, please use this FORM.

By creating a space where neighbors and notables can share first-person stories, this project explores the importance of the personal narrative as a means for connection. As Americans identify in increasingly complex ways religiously, racially and culturally, there's a growing appetite for sharing, and hearing individual stories with universal themes and lessons.
