We believe that connecting people through shared stories and values is important, and that creating empathy and understanding is vital in times of fear and uncertainty.
But we know the idea of gathering with your community can feel nerve-wracking right now.
It is with that in mind, here’s what we’re doing:
- We are monitoring and following the recommendations of the CDC, city, county and state health officials.
- At this point, all events will continue as planned but will continue to be reviewed.
- Should a situation arise that causes health officials to restrict public gatherings of the size and nature of any of our events, we will reschedule the affected event, create a virtual option or implement any other change, as necessary or appropriate.
- We are happy to offer full refunds, for any reason.

Being true to yourself or your community and living life transparently. Join the State Journal for this evening of storytelling.
The Lansing Storytellers Project offers a local platform for authentic, first-person storytelling that connects us as a community, helps us relate to one another and fosters empathy. It's personal. It's live. It's journalism told by the people who lived the stories.
There will be two showtimes for this event, one beginning at 6 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. Tellers and stories for each will be the same, however now even more people can join in to share in this engaging event. Seating begins a half hour before show time.
