Dear Storytelling fan,
The Ventura Storytellers Project event "Women of the Century" scheduled for April 23 at the Oceanview Pavilion has been postponed.
As a precaution, the Ventura County Star has made this decision to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in our community. We are taking these steps out of an abundance of caution.
Our newsroom is thankful so many people have chosen to share their evenings with us. Public health officials have not yet made this a requirement for events like this one. Nevertheless, based on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we think this is right for you, and for the journalists and community members who bring you these stories.
We are working rapidly to reschedule the event for a later date, and will honor original tickets. But, we are happy to offer you a full refund, if you cannot attend the rescheduled show for any reason.

Women of the Century: Perseverance and Hustle
From national leaders to hometown heroes, join the Ventura Storytellers Project for an evening of storytelling about powerful women. Part of a sweeping year-long look at the anniversary of women’s right to vote by the USA TODAY Network.
As the country marks this milestone, the stories will feature compelling personal stories from women about the ways in which they’re continuing the work of enfranchisement put in motion by the 19th Amendment.
Our "Women of the Century: Perseverance and Hustle" show is part of a national storytelling series and add-on to our 2020 roster. Tickets must be purchased separately outside of Supporter Seating and Season Passes.

The Ventura Storytellers Project offers a local platform for authentic, first-person storytelling that connects us as a community, helps us relate to one another and fosters empathy. It's personal. It's live. It's journalism told by the people who lived the stories.
